House Fire by Alexander
Late last night, a fire broke out in Tikal, killing one
person. On first look, people hoped there would be minuscule damage, but
on further inspection, most of the crops were destroyed, along with several
palapas. Peope will not be satiated for months.
Many men, women and children, some shouting expletives,
were pulled from the rubble, but another did not make it out alive. One person
died but the repairs will cost possibly as much as two or three temples.
According to the builders, the repairs should take between
four and six months. The Foreman demands the job be done in three months,
but that seems inconceivable. As a minuscule detail, donations to the homeless
are accepted.
